EndNote is a citation management program. Learn the basics of importing citation information, maintaining your personal folders of citations, and using EndNote to make your works cited page.

Laptop Clinic

Learn how to configure your laptop or a laptop checked out from the Reserve desk to access electronic reserves, the library catalog, research databases, e-mail, and other resources through the campus network. Bring your laptop, wireless card, and software for our support team to help you set up for the library's wireless environment. Wireless cards can be checked out at the Reserve desk.

Reference Universe
NGL room 157

Reference Universe is a unique tool for searching reference material, like dictionaries, encyclopedias, atlases, and handbooks.  This one tool searches the indexes in many of the library’s print and electronic reference books.  If you don’t know where to begin with a research topic, or if you ever use Wikipedia or Google to begin your background research, Reference Universe can help you discover a new universe of information!  Attend a workshop to learn how starting your research can be simpler.

TurnItIn, Newton Gresham Library
NGL room 157 (This particular workshop is for FACULTY ONLY)

An introduction to a plagiarism detection tool, this workshop will provide instruction on how to create a Turnitin account and check papers.  Turnitin can help teach students how not to plagiarize; faculty can keep papers from being recycled every year and identify papers obtained from internet sources. Other sessions will be provided as needed.
