The student lounge just inside the west entrance provides comfortable, casual meeting and study space. Conversations, cell phones, and snacks are welcome in the lounge.

The lounge is also home to a Java City coffee shop which sells hot and cold beverages of several varities (including coffees, teas, and fruit smoothies), as well as food items, including muffins, salads, sandwiches, and fruit.

Beverages with lids may be brought into the library from the lounge.
